The duodenum, small intestine, and ileum – where nutrients are absorbed – are all part of the small intestine.
  • Large intestine: The large intestine is about one and a half meters long and includes the colon and rectum. It ends at the anus, where the remnants of digested food are excreted as feces. The large intestine is necessary for the absorption of vitamin K, fiber, and water.

Our eating habits and lifestyle affect all these organs. Consuming unbalanced or poorly prepared foods, taking drugs and/or alcohol, taking certain medications, and even stress can cause digestive problems.

Some of the most common digestive disorders are indigestion, constipation, and diarrhea, but certain disorders can be serious and even chronic.

Here are some natural remedies that can help relieve indigestion without the need to take any strong medications.

Natural remedies to improve digestion

You should always see a doctor if you suffer from any daily discomfort or indigestion. However, there are some herbal teas and other natural digestive remedies that can improve your overall well-being.

1. Chamomile tea

Chamomile has been praised for many years for its digestive properties. Essential oils give it digestive, antispasmodic, and sedative properties.

Chamomile is a wonderful plant that improves digestion, relieves stomach ulcers, prevents acid reflux.

Preparation:

  • You just need to boil one glass of water.
  • As soon as the water boils, add two grams of chamomile leaves or flowers.
  • Allow the chamomile to infuse for 5 minutes.
  • Then drink tea.

It is best to drink chamomile tea after each meal to get optimal results.

2. Cinnamon tea

Cinnamon can not only be used to treat respiratory infections, but it can also help with indigestion.
